We are a professional elder law firm based in San Antonio, Texas.
In 1990, Kathleen T. “KT” Whitehead started this practice as an elder law firm specializing in estate planning, guardianships, probates, and heirships. In 2006, Shekinah joined the firm as a paralegal assisting KT with guardianships and probates. In 2008, after careful thought, Shekinah enrolled at St. Mary’s School of Law with an emphasis and focus in elder law. In 2011, Shekinah graduated from St. Mary’s School of Law and shortly after, took the bar exam, and received her license to practice law in Texas in November 2011. Shekinah returned to work with KT as an Associate Attorney in November 2011 and is grateful to have studied under KT’s tutelage since that time. In January 2021, Shekinah became the managing attorney until KT fully retired in March 2022 to pursue her avid passion to travel. In July 2022, the firm name changed to Hammonds Davis Law, PLLC, and the mission of “planning for life” continues to be the backbone of the firm’s existence. Hammonds Davis is distinguished among its peers by being dependable, prompt, and offering courtesy with urgency.
