Shekinah Hammonds Davis

Managing Attorney

Shekinah is a dedicated Attorney who enjoys passionately advocating for others. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science at Texas Lutheran University in 2005 and her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from St. Mary’s School of Law in 2011. She holds membership with the San Antonio Bar Association, Texas Bar Foundation, Bexar County Women’s Bar Foundation, San Antonio Black Lawyers Association and National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys as well as the Texas Bar Association with certification as Attorney ad Litem / Guardian ad Litem. Shekinah interned with the 25th Judicial District Attorney’s Office with Former District Attorney, Honorable Judge W.C. Kuykendall in Guadalupe County; worked as Academic Scholar and Constitutional Law Research Assistant for Former Dean William Piatt; interned with Honorable Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery, United States District Court in Western District of Texas; served as Law Clerk with Office of the Texas Attorney General – Child Support Division; and worked as a Senior Legal Assistant for KT Whitehead from 2006 – 2008. Shekinah currently specializes in guardianships, probates, heirships, independent and dependent administrations, community administrations, real estate, and estate planning. She volunteers in low-income community care centers and nursing homes and has given lectures for adult education classes within the Northeast Independent School District and Alzheimer’s Association. An accomplished vocalist, pianist, and song writer – Shekinah has lent a helping hand around the world through her travels with international mission teams to Ghana, West-Africa and the Philippines. In January 2021 Shekinah accepted a management role as managing attorney of Whitehead & Hammonds Law, PLLC, and in 2022 took over the practice in its entirety. Shekinah is proud to continue the legacy of her former partner, KT Whitehead, and expand the practice to serve Bexar County and the surrounding counties.

Sandra Young

Attorney

Sandra L. Young is an attorney that has assisted people in San Antonio, Texas and surrounding areas through difficult times since 2003. Her primary areas of practice are Guardianship, Probate and Estate Planning. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Law School in 2003 and is licensed to practice in the Texas Western Bankruptcy Court.

Allyson Young

Associate Attorney

Allyson is a compassionate Attorney who has developed a niche in serving the elder law and special needs communities in San Antonio and the surrounding areas.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in history at Trinity University in 2020 and her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, Virginia.  She served on the Environmental Law and Policy Law Review as the Notes Editor, and she clerked at the William & Mary Law School Elder and Disabilities Law Clinic and William & Mary Law School Innocence Project Clinic.  Allyson’s focus is to provide clients with efficient legal services that include assistance with probates, guardianships, heirships, and estate planning.
